First Year Camp 2015 – Let’s Build A Life
DEAR CAMPER AND PARENTS
We will be camping from 20-23 January 2015 at African Imprints, Kirkwood. We meet at Somerstrand Gemeente on Tuesday January 20 at 13:00. At the camp we will have morning and evening sessions presented by ministers – not “Bible lessons, but informative sessions focusing on preparing you for student life. We want to build lifelong relationships. By meeting and making new friends at the camp, your first weeks at NMMU will be so much easier! We as congregation will be there for you, no matter what – even just for a lift to the airport.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Sport, Watersport, Praise & Worship, Devotions, Socializing, Info on University Life, Making New Friends! Lots of energy, more than enough “chill time”, GREAT experiences!
PAYMENT
The camp costs R800 per person (including accommodation, all meals, transportation to and from the campground). Banking details: NGK Somerstrand, ABSA Branch Code: 632005 Current account: 0100 8731 388 Reference: name, surname and 1st year. Proof of payment can be emailed to ngksomer@global.co.za or faxed to 041 583 1788.

DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL TIMES:
(1) We meet on Tuesday, 20 January 2015 at 13:00 at Somerstrand Gemeente in Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth (77 Louis Botha Crescent, Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth)

(2) Busses leave from Somerstrand Gemeente to African Imprints, approx. 14:00.
(3) If parents need to contact us during the camp (or for any enquiries) contact Ds. Rethie on 083 400 1556 or the Church office (closed 12 Dec to 12 Jan) 041 583 5115 or Dane (student ministry leader) 072 038 5202.
(4) Friday, 23 January 2015, 13:00 bus will arrive in Port at Somerstrand Gemeente (77 Louis Botha’s Crescent, Summersrand, Port Elizabeth)
(5) Sunday, 8 February 2015, 18:30 we welcome all new students with our First Year Service.
FAQ
- Food? The food is good! We do, however, also cater for special dietary need. Any allergies or special dietary needs, please note such on the registration form.
- I am disabled, can I come on the camp? Any time! You are welcome! Contact us in advance and we will make any necessary arrangements.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
I accept that the campground is outside of the city, in a rural area, with the normal risks associated to such an environment. I accept that there is a swimming pool on site.
Campground Rules
No drugs or alcohol allowed
Smoking prohibited in all buildings
Silence: Monday to Friday from 23:30
Please leave everything the way you found it
Breakages to be reported to management
Beds may not be moved and mattresses may not be removed from beds
Use water and electricity sparingly
No candles or open flames in sleeping quarters
No ball games in buildings
Safety and General Information
Swimming after 19:00 prohibited
Irresponsible and disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
Rules and regulations will be handed over to
Medical aid kit with basic contents available.
Completed and signed indemnity forms to be handed over to manager at start of camp.
Without signed vorm you will be refused access to the grounds.
Indemnity for emergencies and day visitors available at gate.
Stay on the roads and stay away from bushes. Be on the lookout for snakes.
